This dedicates each clock to just one sampling-rate family— Most-Read Reviews Last Days. The DAC8 is a fully balanced, zero-feedback, solid-state design utilizing a direct-coupled FET output stage with generous regulated power supplies and seven stages of regulation. Instrument focus and precision within this expansive sound stage is spot-on. Three years parts and labor to original purchaser.

We are pleased to introduce the new DAC8 digital to analog converter.
The DAC 8 works equally well through all. And, of course, each input you use needs break-in — although, hopefully, not hours for each. The DAC8 is a fully balanced, zero-feedback, solid-state auio utilizing a direct-coupled FET output stage with generous regulated power desearch and seven stages of regulation. Those expecting something glamorous for their thousands are in for a bit of a disappointment, too.
The Analog amplifiers in the DAC8 have received the same attention to detail as the digital section. Through both inputs on both models, while the Benchmark DAC1 Pre presented an enjoyable musical experience, sac8 Audio Research DAC8 sounded less digital, with more detail and realism — which, given its price, it darned well should.
Dynamic, forceful, immediate, and possessing remarkable resolution and transparency, the DAC8 is a sonic knockout that is worthy of the finest music systems. Gentler directional transitions minimize jitter.
We publish its English translation in a mutual syndication arrangement with the publishers. For Wonderfully authoritative presentation mighty bass top class refinement solid researdh. This means that if the DAC and whatever digital sources are attached to it are your only sources, you can connect the DAC directly to a power amp, thus avoiding the expense of a separate preamp.
Consequently, at dxc8 glance, you always know exactly which sample rate is being decoded.
I could distinguish no difference in how the two inputs handled dynamics; both were excellent. While the DAC7 had a USB input, it supported sampling rates up to only 48kHz — not much use to computing audiophiles who want to play hi-rez files.
Da8c, the DAC8 exhibited an ability to capture the complete harmonic envelope of each instrument, so they sounded more real than usual. The cascabels sleigh bells were clearly audible throughout this piece, as were the castanets. It seems the size is simply there to match other AR kit. The high opening chimes sounded a smidgen less extended than through several other DACs, but the flutes sounded more tonally complete and expressive.
I rather feel that change has been spread wide. Often these percussion instruments blur together into background mush, but not through the DAC8. Spatial cues were more difficult to make out, although I could still tell the difference between the two groups of researh.
Consequently, regardless of whichever digital input you select, the Audio Research DAC8 promises to provide a superior listening experience.
All of this comes in a package that measures only 9.
The DAC8 sounded even more detailed, making it easier to tell when the chimes were struck, and to track the decay of each note as it vanished into silence. Still, the DAC1 boasts an assortment of digital inputs: Well, both sounded well within the bounds of reality, so basically it will be a matter of matching the DAC to your system: All images contained in this review are the eac8 of fairaudio or ARC – Ed.
Macrodynamically the DAC8 feels fundamentally fleet-footed. It also provides a digital volume control — it can be connected directly to a dc8 amplifier, thus saving the expense of a preamp.
To the right of the indicator lights, more lights show which input is selected and the sampling frequency being received through that input. As always, in matters of amplification and transducers adequate playmates are required to fully mine the extra tariff of this machine and appreciate its justification. The USB path naturally offers user-selectable upsampling by way of after-market media players to experiment with sending the ARC deck higher sampling rates.
Three years parts and labor to original purchaser. To let through the finest of fades and harmonics without subliminal grit or artefacts is arguably the great strength of this DAC which perhaps segues back to the beginning.
And nowadays, the music player of many audiophiles is a laptop or desktop computer, Mac or PC, running some brand of music-player software.
