Macmiester [ Reply to This ]. I got the odd dsl panic too, but I found they don’t happen if you plug in and unplug the usb adapter when you’re logged in. I’ve even had to go so far as to manually set the IP address but after I do that once I can switch back to full DHCP and it will connect automatically across reboots until I try to connect to a different wireless network.

And just to say, to all those people suggesting alternatives, mav are infact better wireless solutions for your mac, but sometimes, like in my case, you have one of these spare, or you’ve bought one thinking it will work and it doesnt. You have to uncheck the port in the networking control panel before you unplug the unit otherwise you get a kernel panic.

Am I missing something obvious to get a connection? It took me awhile to figure this out, but to install it you have to be in the ROOT account. Even mav you can see the Airport slot in the Dual Core system there are no rails to support it and the Antenna wire doesn’t fit the Airport Extreme card. The USB adapter isn’t broken, because if I plug it into my Dell laptop it works fine and can connect to mc base. Latest Mountain Lion Hints I could get it to work but if my ibook g3 running They wrote back and said that it was not a Mac-compatible product.
